Future Model?

Not that Hailey isn't already cute enough, but she has developed what we call her "cute" pose where she tilts her head sideways while looking at you with those eyes!  She has also learned how to clap and likes to join in when when she hears and sees other people clapping.  This is her first pigtail, which makes mom very excited.

Pumpkin Patch

October 11th we went to a local pumpkin patch. The weather was very cold. It was in the low 5o's. It was at a local farm. There were stations set up for little crafts and a huge pumpkin patch. We walked around the patch searching for Hailey's first perfect pumpkin. I love the fall season. The color of the autumn leaves, the gardens full of pumpkins, and the excuse to get bundled up and drink hot cider!

Hailey's 1st trip to the zoo

October 18th the Denver Zoo had a free day. With money being tight right now we love free stuff, so we decided to go. It was a beautiful, sunny, 80 degree weather day. We were able to dress Hailey in shorts for the last time this year, and a Utah State University t-shirt given to her by Grandpa & Grandma Stewart. Because it was a free day there were a lot of people there. We took Hailey's stroller but, because of the height of the animal exhibits she spent most of her time in our arms. We were able to see the usual animals like lions, monkeys, giraffes and seals. We even saw zebras and some other African safari animals but, Hailey's favorite were the birds. We call them tweet tweets! For the longest time she has loved listening to birds.   She was more interested in watching the animals than we thought she would be, and she was fascinated by all the people! It is definitely something we will do again!
