On Friday, Jalayne and Hailey decided to take advantage of the nice weather and rake the leaves in our front yard. We had already raked them once, but with our 23 inches of snow last week, the rest of the leaves decided to fall off the trees. Hailey loves to help out with whatever we are doing. We had this small rake that was the perfect size for her to use. Here are some pictures.
Hailey only gives us a second to take her picture with her smiling. If we miss it or the camera takes too long, we get what we get!

Hailey had a blast trick or treating this year. We have been practicing, with her, what she is supposed to say at the door, and she did great.
Volunteer police officers were driving around the neighborhood passing out candy. When they found a trick or treater, they would stop their car and turn their lights on.
After every door, she would walk down the driveways so excited saying, "I trick or treat!" Here is video of it. It is dark, but we took the video mainly to here her voice.

Summer Adventures
In June, we went, with Douglas' parents, his brother David, and David's wife Natalie, to California for a family reunion on Douglas' side of the family. While there, we were able to walk down the Pasadena Pier, where they have an amusement park and street vendors.
We had a great family reunion, in Chatsworth, on Father's Day. The house we stayed at had a swimming pool. Hailey went swimming for the first time and loved it! It was great to reaquaint with family members that Douglas hadn't seen in years. A lot of them family were members Jalayne had never met before.
We had a great day at Disneyland. FYI...one day is no where near long enough to do everything that you want to do there.
Pirates of the Carribean ride
At the end of June, we went to Utah to attend the wedding of our cousin Rushel. It was wonderful seeing her so happy. We had fun spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Stewart and other family members.

Easter Weekend
Last Easter, Hailey was 3 months old and being blessed, so this was her first Easter to participate in things. So Saturday morning, she found her Easter basket with a book and a new dress in it. Later, we both had to help out at the Primary activity. They had an egg hunt. Hailey caught on to the concept of putting eggs in her basket very quickly.
Later that afternoon, we went to a place called The Wildlife Experience, where they had lots of Easter activities for kids to do. The Easter Bunny was there, and surprisingly, Hailey took to him very well, unlike Santa Clause. We were able to make pin wheels, plant a flower, make a necklace and see different animals and bugs.
That evening, Douglas performed his flute with the Colorado Mormon Chorale down in Castle Rock for their Easter concert.
For Easter Sunday, Douglas was presenting an Easter program with the ward choir. They did a great job.
